A Paradox Called Education

Time has ushered in a paradox of education;
everyone wants knowledge to grow;
but all of it, is spoiled by manipulation;
teaching what others want us to know.

Truth is the knowledge to which all aspire;
only wisdom can take us there;
proliferation of lies; lights truth on fire;
many educators no longer care;

Many think they’re living in a golden age;
with constant repetition of mere opinion;
in reality; life has turned another page;
giving those teaching, total dominion.

We exist; living in an ocean of information;
suddenly; finding no place to hide;
at the beck and call of evil’s inclination;
while truth remains hidden, inside.

Truth is constantly being turned upside down;
consistantly, replaced with lies;
evil, somehow, has seized the crown;
compassion is the devil’s disguise.

With propaganda; all facts are rearranged;
indoctrination determines all rules;
increasingly; lies, for truth, are exchanged;
and, even the wise, become fools.

Government teaches what they want us to know;
all knowledge is theirs to control;
whenever they control; only they grow;
and we have surrendered our soul.
