A Memory Called Faith

Few understand what faith really is;
they think it’s a wish or a hope;
a temporary feeling of comfort and bliss;
enabling that they might cope.

Others consider that faith is an energy;
a connection to God, above;
the Master and soul; in synergy;
two hearts are one; in love.

Faith is actually all of these things;
and perhaps, a great deal more;
it is actual knowledge; faith brings;
including things we abhor.

Faith is an unusual form of memory;
thoughts of another realm;
where man and God live in symmetry;
and God remains at the helm.

Faith doesn’t give us any special power;
it merely releases the power, within;
it strengthens and causes our soul to flower;
cleansing the stain of sin.

Faith is the memory of the birth of love;
perfection; grown in the garden;
cast down to earth from heaven above;
till the Master granted love’s pardon.

Faith has the power to move mountains;
a gift; that we all have been given;
God’s love flows, from invisible fountains;
through faith; all are forgiven.
