A Fool
A fool and his money are soon parted;
it’s how the great lie begins;
a fool, lacking wisdom, is soon outsmarted;
is where all the folly ends.
We often waste our lives with ambition;
in retrospect, it’s all rather odd;
for it results in a form of sedition;
against the government of God.
Like a legion of ants, building in dirt;
accumulating all the wealth we can;
such noble passions; who can be hurt;
only the entirety of man.
Loving each other is the rule ;
there’s no more important role;
money is only meant as a tool;
it was never intended a goal.
Knowledge is the ultimate of goals;
attainment of wisdom, itself, supreme;
we spent many lives, in many roles;
advancing to love’s ultimate dream.
Building, indeed, is a noble role;
depending upon your service;
construction of love within the soul;
satisfies God’s noble purpose.
The mountain built by the ants is destroyed;
crushed by the gardener’s boot;
while the love, by the noble, employed;
makes the fool’s wisdom moot.
